Bournemouth Stun Manchester United in Emphatic 3-0 Old Trafford Triumph

AFC Bournemouth piled further misery on Manchester United with a commanding 3-0 victory at Old Trafford, extending the hosts' winless run to eight matches across all competitions. The damaging defeat leaves United caretaker manager Michael Carrick facing intense scrutiny following his tactical gamble to bench captain Bruno Fernandes.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 38th minute when Rayan capitalised on a well-worked free-kick routine, meeting Justin Kluivert’s precise cross to fire past United goalkeeper Lammens. Bournemouth struck again just five minutes later. After a costly slip by young defender Leny Yoro, Adrien Truffert intercepted the ball and squared it to Marcus Tavernier, who calmly tapped into an empty net to double the lead before halftime.

United failed to mount a significant comeback in the second half, and their fate was sealed in the 71st minute. Following a swift counter-attack, Evanilson rounded Lammens and produced a brilliant finish from a tight angle to wrap up an historic three points for the Cherries.

The result lifts Bournemouth to 13th in the Premier League table while condemning a struggling Manchester United to 16th place, compounding one of the worst starts to a league campaign in the club's modern history.
