Mbappé Double Sinks Barcelona as Real Madrid Claim El Clásico Glory

Kylian Mbappé scored twice, including a dramatic late winner, as Real Madrid defeated Barcelona 2-1 at the Camp Nou to shatter their fierce rivals' perfect start to the La Liga season.

Entering the match on the back of nine consecutive league victories, Barcelona controlled early possession but struggled to breach a resolute Madrid defense orchestrated by José Mourinho. The visitors struck first in the 41st minute when Mbappé capitalized on a swift counter-attack, coolly slotting the ball past Marc-André ter Stegen.

Barcelona responded with high intensity after the interval and found a deserved equalizer in the 61st minute. Raphinha sent the home crowd into raptures by finishing a slick team move to make it 1-1.

With both sides pushing for a decider, it was Real Madrid who snatched all three points in the 88th minute. Eduardo Camavinga delivered a pinpoint pass into the penalty area, allowing Mbappé to fire home his second of the night and seal a memorable El Clásico triumph.

The victory ends Barcelona’s unbeaten run and narrows the gap at the top of the La Liga table, breathing fierce new life into the Spanish title race.
