Coventry Crushed 5-0 as Ruthless Brighton Ran Riot at CBS Arena

Frank Lampard’s Premier League return turned into a living nightmare as his ten-man Coventry City side were ruthlessly dismantled 5-0 by a rampant Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday. The newly-promoted Sky Blues remain rooted to the bottom of the table, still hunting for their first point and first goal of the campaign.
An electric and wide-open first half saw both teams trade heavy blows, but it was Brighton who broke the deadlock in the 35th minute. Teenage forward Charalampos Kostoulas latched onto Pascal Gross’s precise pass to fire home his maiden Premier League goal.
The game completely unraveled for the hosts early in the second half. Malick Yalcouyé doubled the Seagulls' advantage in the 51st minute, before Coventry striker Taiwo Awoniyi was shown a straight red card for violent conduct just moments later.
Capitalising on the numerical advantage, Fabian Hurzeler's side went on a clinical scoring spree. Gross coolly converted a penalty in the 70th minute to make it 3-0, before setting up Yasin Ayari’s stoppage-time curling effort. In between, captain Lewis Dunk stole the show with a spectacular 30-yard screamer that flew into the top corner, putting the exclamation mark on a perfect afternoon for Brighton.
